A dialer integration sends each completed call to Sales Ask. Sales Ask files the call as a recording for the matching rep, then analyzes it like any other recording.

Organization API key

Most dialers send calls to a Sales Ask webhook URL that contains your organization API key. To create or copy the key:
  1. Log in to Sales Ask as an organization admin.
  2. Go to Settings → Organization and scroll to Organization API Key.
  3. Click the refresh icon to generate a key, or click copy if one already exists.
If you regenerate the API key later, update the webhook URL in every dialer that uses it. Calls sent with the old key are ignored.

How calls are matched to reps

Each call is filed under a rep who is an active member of your Sales Ask organization. Depending on the dialer, Sales Ask matches the rep by:
  • Email: the rep’s email in the dialer matches their Sales Ask email.
  • Phone number: the Phone number on the rep’s Sales Ask profile (Settings → Account) matches their number in the dialer. Use the full number with country code, for example +14165551234, and enter it the same way the dialer reports it.
Each dialer’s guide says which of these it uses. Calls that don’t match any rep are skipped. Before you go live, check every rep’s email and profile phone number.

Turn off dialer recordings for a rep

To stop importing dialer calls for one rep, go to Settings → Manage Teams, open the menu on the rep’s row, and choose Disable Dialer Recordings. Their dialer calls are skipped until you turn it back on.
