Sales Ask adds the call summary to the matched Job’s Notes, and pulls Jobs and the activities scheduled on them.

What Sales Ask uses in Moraware

What you need

  • Your database name, the part before .moraware.net in the address you log in at. For https://acme.moraware.net, it’s acme.
  • The username and password of a Moraware user Sales Ask connects as.
The user must be a Moraware Admin, or have a role with the Execute API Requests right. We recommend creating a dedicated user, such as SalesAskAPI, so you can see which changes Sales Ask made.

Connect in Sales Ask

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations and search for Moraware.
  2. Enter the database name, username, and password. Sales Ask logs in to Moraware when you save, so a wrong database, username, or password shows an error straight away.
  3. Optionally, fill in Appointment activity types and Time zone (see below).
  4. Choose a matching method and click Save.
  5. Map each process to open, won, or lost, so deals update as Jobs move through your workflow. For example, map Lead (Active) to open, Lead (Complete) to lost, and Job (Active) and Job (Complete) to won.
Sales Ask keeps the password to itself after you save it. To change it, type a new one. To keep it, leave the field blank.

How reps are matched

Sales Ask matches each rep by name to two Moraware records:
  • The salesperson on their Jobs, which decides whose Jobs they see.
  • The assignee on their activities, which decides which activities are their appointments.
A name matches when it has the same words as the rep’s Sales Ask name, or contains it. For example, Sam Ortiz - North matches the rep Sam Ortiz. A rep known by a first name alone matches the one salesperson with that first name. If a rep’s name in Moraware is different from their name in Sales Ask, email support@salesask.com and we’ll link them to the right records.

Which activities are appointments

A rep’s appointments are the activities in the next 7 days that are assigned to them on their active Jobs. Canceled activities are left out. If your reps are also assigned office tasks, such as calls or follow-ups, list the activity types that are visits under Appointment activity types, separated by commas. For example, enter Consultation to count consultations alone. Leave it empty to count every activity assigned to the rep. Moraware stores times without a time zone. Sales Ask reads them in the rep’s time zone, then in the Time zone set on the integration, such as America/Denver, then in Eastern time.

Clients and deals

Each Job is its own client and deal in Sales Ask. The client is the contact named on the Job’s address, usually the homeowner, with the Job’s account as their company. A Job’s status is its process and whether it’s active or complete, such as Lead (Active) or Job (Complete). A Job keeps its number when it moves from Lead to Job, so the client and deal follow it from lead to install. When a rep views all Jobs instead of their own, they see the newest active Jobs.

Where notes appear

Sales Ask adds the call summary to the bottom of the matched Job’s Notes, under a line with the date, for example ----- Sales Ask, 2026-10-26 -----. The Notes already on the Job stay as they are above it.
