# HubSpot

> Connect HubSpot to log notes on Deals and Contacts and pull your CRM records.

Sales Ask logs a Note on the associated Deal or Contact, pulls Deals and Contacts, and lets reps create new Contacts.

## What Sales Ask uses in HubSpot

| Object | How Sales Ask uses it |
| - | - |
| Deals | Reads Deals to match calls and sync value and stage |
| Contacts | Reads Contacts to match calls; creates Contacts when a rep adds a new client |
| Meetings | Reads upcoming Meetings on Deals and Contacts to show the rep's appointments |
| Notes | Adds a Note with the summary and recording link to the Deal, or the Contact if there's no Deal |
| Owners | Matches reps to HubSpot users by email |
| Deal pipelines | Reads deal stages so you can map them to open, won, or lost |
| Properties | Checks for the optional Home Inspection Date property |

## What you need

* **Private App Token**

<Info>
  Creating a private app requires Super Admin access in HubSpot.
</Info>

## Get your token

1. In HubSpot, go to **Development → Legacy apps → Create legacy app → Private**.
2. Name the app `Sales Ask`.
3. On the **Scopes** tab, click **Add new scope** and select these scopes:

   | Scope | What Sales Ask uses it for |
   | - | - |
   | `crm.objects.contacts.read` | Read Contacts and Meetings |
   | `crm.objects.contacts.write` | Create Notes and new Contacts |
   | `crm.objects.deals.read` | Read Deals and deal pipelines |
   | `crm.objects.owners.read` | Match reps to HubSpot users |
   | `crm.schemas.contacts.read` | Read the Home Inspection Date property on Contacts (optional) |
   | `crm.schemas.deals.read` | Read the Home Inspection Date property on Deals (optional) |

   HubSpot covers Notes and Meetings with the Contacts scopes, so they have no separate scopes.
4. Click **Create app**, then on the **Auth** tab, reveal and copy the access token.

## Connect in Sales Ask
