# FieldPulse

> Connect FieldPulse to add comments to Jobs and pull Jobs, Customers, and their scheduled visits.

Sales Ask adds a comment to the matched Job, or to its Customer when no Job is linked, and pulls Jobs, Customers, and their scheduled visits.

## What Sales Ask uses in FieldPulse

| Object | How Sales Ask uses it |
| - | - |
| Jobs | Reads the Jobs each rep is assigned to, to match calls and sync status and price |
| Customers | Reads each Job's Customer for name, email, phone, and address |
| Estimates | Reads a Job's Estimates, or its Project's, to set the deal amount from the accepted Estimate |
| Comments | Adds a comment with the call summary to the Job, or to the Customer if there's no Job |
| Users | Matches reps to FieldPulse users by email |
| Job statuses | Reads your Job workflow statuses so you can map them to open, won, or lost |

## What you need

* **API Key** from FieldPulse

## Get your API key

FieldPulse issues API keys through its support team.

1. Email [support@fieldpulse.com](mailto:support@fieldpulse.com) from your FieldPulse admin account and ask for an API key for Sales Ask.
2. Copy the key when FieldPulse sends it, and keep it somewhere safe.

## Connect in Sales Ask

1. Go to **Settings → Integrations** and search for **FieldPulse**.
2. Paste the API key.
3. Choose a [matching method](/integrations/overview#matching-method) and click **Save**.
4. Map your FieldPulse Job statuses to open, won, or lost, so deals update as Jobs move through your workflow.

## How reps are matched

Each rep's Sales Ask email must match the email of their FieldPulse user. A rep sees the Jobs they're assigned to for the next 7 days.

## Where comments appear

Sales Ask adds the call summary as a comment on the Job linked to the recording, or on the Customer when the recording is linked to a Customer. A summary longer than FieldPulse's 4,000-character comment limit is posted as numbered parts, in order.
